Day 5 - unwrap some new jammies and slippers

My girls are looong overdue for some new sleepwear, Wed are busy for us, homework after school then Kate has karate followed by piano lessons.  This meant it had to be something quick and easy, no time for a craft, this one worked out great and the girls love their new stuff.

Day 2 - Watch the 1st Presidency Devotional

This activity wasn't met with a whole lot of enthusiasm but I tried to make it as fun as possible and told the girls we were going to make a yummy treat to eat as we watched, we made this pumpkin cinnamon pull apart bread, the girls really did make most of it from measuring the ingredients to rolling the dough.  The bread was yummy and Eric & I liked listening to the devotional, the girls kept calling it conference:)

Day 1 - Living nativity

I can't think of a better way to kick off Christmas than going to the Living Nativity, these guys put on an amazing event and its all free.  Kate liked the camels and the hot chocolate, Sara liked the animals, the camels and the baby Jesus.

Did you know that every donkey has a cross on its back?  something I learnt tonight, I guess there are lots of different stories, some relating it to the time the donkey carried Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday others where the cross symbolizes the donkeys love and loyalty to Jesus.
